We stayed at the Melia Las Dunas from April 3rd to 9th. It was the most beautiful resort that we have ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good. The rooms were very comfortable. The beach goes on forever and the coral reef is close for a snorkeling adventure. The best part was dancing every night either in the courtyard or lobby bar to a live band. This was the most perfect vacation ever!

I just got back from Melia Las Dunas a few hours ago, i havent even been back in Canada for 24hours and i miss it already. This was our second year at this resort and it was even better than the first time! The people are amazing, i met some wonderful dancers and entertainers. The food was great and there was sometime for everyone. In the two weeks we went to most of the ala carte (spelling) restaurants and i have no complaints. Everyone was so nice, the beach was amazing, and the resort was beautiful. There was never a dull moment. Night time was the best though. After supper there was dancing outside with the dancers, then we'd go to the show and then to the disco. The only complaint i have is that im sitting home and not back at the resort. It was an amazing time. Hoping to go back next year. Can't wait. Would DEFFINATLY recommend to EVERYONE!!!

The people were very friendly, always doing what they could to satisfy you. The food was very good with the exception of the Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was great, the best of any resort I have ever visited. Met some great staff that I became very close with. Overall I wouls recommend this resort to anyone.

Although my first time to Cuba I was with 2 people that were there 6 times before. They agreed that this was the most spectacular vacation that they could have imagined.
The food was definitely above par, although we had so-so meals at the Romantica restaurant (excellent at the Italian and The Grill restaurants) . The buffet (breakfast and dinner) were excellent with a great variety of foods so you shol dfind something you would enjoy. Other places to enjoy a snack would be by the pools and at the beer garden!
For water-seeking travellers, the beach was beautiful although erosion has struck there like many other places. The pools are large and well maintained, never an issue to get a place to sit.
The rooms were large and in excellent shape with very nice decor. My only complaint is that the 'king-size' bed was 2 double matresses put together. Not a major issue except the sheets could have at least been king sized. The shower was as expected with some days the water being warm and others hot. Can't have it all....
The entertainment is decent enough, but don't expect Celine Dion (probably a good thing!).
Above all else what made this truly fantastic was the service of all personnel. My hats off to the ladies at the beer garden, beach bar and lobby bar as they were incredibly sweet (and dang cute too!!) and always available for a chat and a smile.
Will I return? Dang tooting..... as often as possible.
