The emblematic Tryp Habana Libre Hotel reaffirmed its position as the Five Star of Cuban Culture with the hosting important activities part of the 9th Cuba disco 2007 International Fair.
The most important event of the Cuban record industry gathered renowned artists, producers and critics from Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Dominican Republic, France, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba, among other countries.
An international symposium was also held at the Salon Solidaridad of the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel, where delegates deliberated for 6 days on theoretical issues. The newest production of the Spanish company DISCMEDI:“Cuba le canta a Serrat”(VOl 2) was presented as part of the activities .
The Tryp Habana Libre served as the backdrop for welcoming personalities and delegations to the event and for the honorary awarding ceremony of two important Cuban artists: filmmaker Alfredo Guevara and composer Leo Brower, considered one of the most important guitar composer and player in the world.
