The countries of the Southern Cone are gaining every day more preeminence with regards to the emission of visitors to the Sol Meliá Cuba hotels. As a result, this November a promotional mission will travel to Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. "The goal is to promote our hotels and their specialized offer to the different market segments in this region," said Amaury Escalona, Director of Sol Meliá Cuba's Promotion Department. He especially emphasized the presence of Sol Meliá in the keys and the possibility of combining stays with hotels Havana. "We are also highlighting the specialization of our product for honeymoons, golf, spa, groups, events and incentives trips." Meetings with tour operators, presentations to travel agents and participation in tourism fairs in Chile and Argentina are on the promotional agenda. "We would like to recognize in particular, the work of wholesalers such as Uruguayan SIUR and Plus Travel and also commend Argentina's leading tour operators for the results attained this year," informed the director of Sol Meliá Cuba's Promotion Department. "These are two markets that have continued growing in the emission of visitors to our hotels and consequently the promotional activities are a demonstration of our commitment to them." The accommodation of Argentine tourists in Sol Meliá Cuba hotels during the first nine months reported a growth of 5%, while Uruguay shows an increase of 25 %. As part of the promotional activities in the Argentine market, Sol Meliá Cuba will offer a series of presentations together with Solways, in the cities of Rosario, Bahia Blanca and Buenos Aires.
