None of the hotels and resorts operated by Sol Meliá in Cuba were affected by hurricane Paloma which hit the eastern region of the country during the past weekend.
The 24 properties continue to receive clients and are operating normally with all their services and facilities intact.
At all moment, both the security and needs of the clients were guaranteed, who remained informed of the situation and advance of the storm, thanks to Cuba’s long experience in dealing with tropical hurricanes. Only one emergency evacuation was carried- which lasted only 24 hours- in the northern coast of the country’s central region. Clients were evacuated on Saturday at 3 pm and returned to the facility on the following day at the same hour.
Sol Meliá continues operating during the current high season with a renewed product with higher standards.
