More golf tournaments scheduled for next year

The successful hosting of the first Varadero Open Golf Tournament at the Meliá Las Americas Hotel is the reason why a second and third edition of this sporting event will be held during June and September of next year. A total of 31 players took part in this year’s tournament, consisting mainly of members of the Varadero Gulf Club, the ambassadors of Bulgaria and Switzerland to Cuba and clients accommodated at Meliá Las Americas , a 5-star All-Inclusive beach resort conceived for adults aged 18 and over. The tournament used the Stableford scoring system and is part of the ongoing actions at Meliá Las Americas to promote golf in Cuba. The awarding ceremony was held at the Xanadu Mansion.
