			<description>Sol Meliá Cuba is equipping its 24 hotels and resorts with the necessary facilities so that guests can watch Euro-Cup 2008, during June 7-29 and the 29th Olympic Games- Beijing 2008, during August 6-24 live!  &lt;br /&gt;Areas will be especially accommodated with TV sets and gastronomic specialties, including cocktails allegorical to the mascots of both games. Commemorative recreational activities have been planned, including a mini-quiz about Euro-Cup and the Olympiad. &lt;br /&gt;Each hotel will also organize a lottery in which clients staying in the hotels during June 22-29 can take part. Winners will receive a prize. &lt;br /&gt;Already there is a countdown in place in all the hotels, marking the days until the beginning of Euro-Cup and the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.  A true festive air and sporting spirit prevails in each of the Sol Meliá Cuba hotels and resorts.</description>

			<description>Every year more couples prefer Sol Meliá Cuba for transforming their wedding ceremony into a wonderfully romantic experience in an exotic tropical destination,&lt;br /&gt;Last 2007, Sol Meliá Cuba hotels and resorts hosted 1,070 weddings, which represents a 12% growth when compared to 2006, when this segment (including accommodations and extra services) grew by 10.86%.&lt;br /&gt;Paradisus Rio de Oro, in Holguin, was the hotel preferred by 234 couples for their wedding ceremony, followed by Meliá Cayo Guillermo and Sol Palmeras (Varadero).&lt;br /&gt;Canada continues to be the main tourist market (52.46%), followed by the United Kingdom, although a marked growing trend has been observed in Russia. &lt;br /&gt;The number of honeymoon couples also grew during 2007, which totaled to 10, 907, representing a 2% increment compared to 2006.&lt;br /&gt;Sol Palmeras continues to be leader of the honeymoon segment, which received a total of 1,183 honeymooners followed by Meliá Varadero, Tryp Habana Libre and Tryp Peninsula Varadero.</description>

			<title>Café Vista Alegre Project</title>

			<description>Havana offers travelers a new and important tourist attraction inspired by Cubas extraordinary cultural and artistic wealth: the   &lt;br /&gt;Café Vista Alegre Project, whose permanent venue is the spectacular Habana Café, at the Meliá Cohiba Hotel.&lt;br /&gt;Café Vista Alegre promotes the Cuban musical repertoire of 1920s through the 1950s, performed by famed national and international figures. &lt;br /&gt;The project is part of an original idea by popular Cuban musician Pancho Amat and singer Noel Nicola, which was first presented in Paris at the end of February with great success.&lt;br /&gt;Originally, from 1898 to1948, there was a Café Vista Alegre in the Cuban capital, which became the regular haunt of artists and intellectuals such as Sindo Garay, Miguel Matamoros, Fernando Ortiz and Arsenio Rodriguez.&lt;br /&gt;Each presentation of the Café Vista Alegre Project at the Habana Café will be hosted by musician Pancho Amat and accompanied by some of the foremost performers of traditional Cuban music. &lt;br /&gt;This new attraction is a the result of a cooperation effort between the Ministry of Culture and Sol Meliá, which continues include the inexhaustible inspiration of Cuban culture in its tourist product for the enjoyment of its clients.</description>
